This is a very small world. I am a firm believer in Milgram's theory of six degrees of separation between any two people on the planet. It is particularly true for those who share similar areas of interest and concern. Over the years, I have met many people, whose ideas I found intriguing, simulating and relevant. This page provides links to some of these people and their ideas. The distinction between friends and acquaintances is quite simple:
Friends are those, with whom I remained in close touch for some time and was able to engage in reciprocal exchange of ideas
Acquaintances are those, whom I met but have not, for various reasons, maintained a sustained contact.
This is of course not a rigid distinction: friends become acquaintances and vice versa.
