COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN EUROPEAN FINANCIAL SERVICES
The analysis of the communication and information technology impact on European financial services, both in retail and investment banking. We have adopted a dynamic approach taking into account, on the one hand, the evolution of technology and more specifically the proliferation of Internet-based solutions, and on the other hand the launch of Euro which will deeply modify both consumers behaviour and the structure of supply for financial services.
ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF THE FINANCIAL APPLICATIONS OF THE SMART CARD
An elaborate research of the economics of the applications of the smart card. The vectors determining the growth and profitability of the various applications (telecommunications, transport, healthcare) of the smart card have been highlighted. Both financial applications (debit card and electronic purse) have been analyzed. Recommendations aiming at repositioning these applications in order to improve their economic feasibility have been made.
PROVIDING SERVICES FOR ELECTRONIC COMMERCE
A big European telecommunications operator is studying the opportunity to provide the general public with services for electronic commerce. Our intervention aimed at advising them regarding the positioning of such a project and the possible partnership and co-operation strategies with the external providers of these services.

An analysis of the behaviours and projects of a sample of French banks regarding Internet banking. Similarities and differences between Internet banking and the traditional electronic banking have been pointed out Likely scenarios of the extension of Internet banking in France have been developed.
ELECTRONIC MONEY IN THE UNITED STATES
A global overview of various features of electronic money in the United States: future prospects of electronic payment systems (SET, micro-payments) over the Internet, efforts to standardize these systems and the evolution of the regulatory environment.
